A presentation on an expanded Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School was shared during the 5th and 6th Grade Orientation program held in the school's auditorium on the evening of Wednesday, January 28. Principal Megan Corliss, administrators, and counselors spoke to the parents and guardians whose children will attend the Middle School, which will now house students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 in September. Due to the implementation of an all-day kindergarten in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District this fall, the 6th Grade was added to the Middle School.

Each summer, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Council of Schools Association provides a variety of summer programs to the students in the community. If any BRRSD staff members are interested in running a camp for the first time, then the deadline for upcoming camp proposals is January 25.

Boy Scout Troop 46 of Martinsville, comprising students from Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School and Hillside Intermediate School, will sponsor Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 6, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Martinsville.

Debbie Johnston, an Administrative Assistant at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School, celebrated the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District’s Week of Respect by wearing the hockey jersey of the legendary Bobby Hull---once her neighbor in Addison, Illinois.
On Tuesday, October 7, the theme for the Week of Respect was Team Up for Kindness, when staff and students wore their favorite sports team shirts. Ms. Johnston donned the famed No. 9 jersey that Hull wore during his brilliant 15-year career playing for the Chicago Black Hawks in the National Hockey League.
Ms. Johnston's family, many years ago, were neighbors in the suburb of Chicago of the NHL Hall of Famer who played professionally for 23 years before he retired in 1980. Hull passed away in 2023.
Hull’s son Brett also went on to be inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame, too. They are the only father-son duo to each score over 500 career goals ever in the NHL.

The school bell rang on Tuesday, September 2, in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District. Students sprang off buses, exited automobiles, and strolled from the sidewalks into all 11 schools, where they were greeted by smiling staff members on the first day of the school year.

A tradition continued when the 8th Grade students launched their final day, Wednesday, June 18, at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School with their annual Physical Education Department's Kickball Tournament final round. The students will later graduate in the commencement ceremony on this day. But the morning was highlighted by Matt Rago's students winning the 2025 Kickball Tournament championship on the field inside the track alongside the Middle School.

The long-standing tradition of the Spring Music Assemblies at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School was once again performed on Friday, June 13. A total of 11 musical groups produced another spectacular show in front of a large audience of students, staff, and school district officials in the Middle School auditorium. The assembly has been running for over 25 years. Here are some scenes from the numerous performances.

Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School 8th Grade students Keissy Castro Quiros Castro and Liam Samora Chavez were honored when the New Jersey Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages/Bilingual Educators held its President's Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 21, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick. The two English as a Second Language students received their awards--a touch-screen laptop--for being named the winners of a state-sponsored essay contest during the school year. Their essays focused on suggestions your school could do to help new immigrants adjust to life in the United States. The students were joined at the ceremony by their Middle School ESL Teacher, Diana Amarante Caspao, LeighAnn Matthews, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District K-12 Supervisor for Multilingual Education, and Jenna Maneri, Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District ESL Coach.
