MS Back to School Night with Peers

Parents and guardians were greeted not only by school officials and staff but by a dedicated and friendly group of students when Back to School Night was held at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.

On the evenings of Monday, September 14, and Tuesday, September 15, when Back to School Night was offered by the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School, these eager-to-help students, now serving as Peer Leaders, were there to assist.

These ambassadors were assembled and are directed by Lisa Lattarulo, who is the Supervisor of Counseling and Wellness for K-8 for the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, and Alyssa Carothers, who is the Student Assistance Counselor for the Middle School.

A total of 43 Middle School students from the 8th Grade make up this Peer Leaders group, whose roles on Back to School Night, according to Ms. Carothers, were to “welcome and assist parents and families in finding their child/children's classrooms. The Peer Leaders will be able to answer questions and share their knowledge of the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School experience.”
