The emergence of the music students at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School was in full view on Thursday, May 21.
The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School Music Concert was performed before an attentive audience on May 21 in the school’s auditorium.
Under the guidance of Middle School Orchestra Directors Caty Butler and Tim Nuzzetti, the 7th Grade Orchestra launched the concert, followed by the 8th Grade Orchestra. The Chamber Orchestra and then the Symphony Orchestra closed the first half of the evening.
Band Directors Dr. Ashlen Udell and Barron Caroamno then conducted the Band performances.
The Jazz Ensemble, the 7th Grade Band, the 8th Grade Band, and the Wind Ensemble all matched the fine presentations of their Orchestra peers with fantastic productions.
Ms. Butler touched on how the orchestra students worked on their skills and what the future holds.
“We are so proud of how the orchestra students performed in last week's concert. They worked so hard this year, and their musical growth shows in the way they performed. Students were proud of themselves as well, which made the night even better! Looking forward to seeing how they continue to grow throughout their time in the Bridgewater Raritan music program.”
Dr. Udell also spoke about how the band students matured into sound musicians.
"The band students showed significant growth from the start of the school year and we were proud to share that with our school community. We look forward to seeing the students in the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School and Bridgewater-Raritan High School band programs next year!"
