All hands contributed to celebrate “The Open Hand.”
The title theme of the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School 2026 Spring Choir Concert was “The Open Hand.”
And staff and students all came together to produce a sparkling performance on the evening of Wednesday, May 13.
The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School auditorium was filled with a delighted audience who was treated to a presentation from the five gifted choir ensembles:
Bel Canto, the Treble and Mixed 7th Grade Choirs
Sol, the Cambiata Choir
Dolce, the Select Treble Choir
Molto, the Select Mixed Choir
Chorale, the 8th Grade Choir
They all shined under the guidance of Gabriele Hingelberg, the dedicated Choir Director and this year’s Governor’s Educator of the Year for the Middle School
“What a pleasure it was to see all the groups come together and share what they’ve worked so hard on these past few months,” Ms. Hingelberg revealed. “I am so proud of all the groups, large and small, of how they presented themselves and such advanced music!”
She further explained how everyone came together to present this special performance.
“ I was especially impressed with so many students contributing their other talents to the program - student speakers, dancers, drummers, cellists, and pianists! What a special evening celebrating the arts! “
Matt McCarthy, the Supervisor for Arts Education in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, was thrilled with the present and is anxious for the future of the choir program at the Middle School.
“Ms. Hingelberg and her singers put on a phenomenal concert. Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School has such a vibrant choir program,” Mr. McCarthy claimed. “It’s a really special community that is going to double in size next year when we move to a 6-8 Middle School. I can’t wait."
