Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School is proud to announce our 2025-2026 Governor's Educator of the Year recipients.

Mrs. Gabriele Hingelberg is the BRMS Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Hingelberg has been teaching chorus and general music in the Bridgewater-Raritan school district since 2015. In her role as choral director, Mrs. Hingelberg is responsible for the music education of hundreds of BRMS students. Mrs. Hingelberg's teaching is thoughtful, thorough, and highly engaging. Mrs. Hingelberg's colleagues describe her impact on the school as follows, "Under her leadership, the halls of our school are filled with singing, connection, and joy. She has created a safe and inclusive environment where students of all backgrounds and abilities find their voice, build friendships, and gain confidence through music." Mrs. Hingelberg exemplifies excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Her impact on students, staff, and the broader community is extraordinary, making her a truly deserving candidate for Teacher of the Year.

Mrs. Patricia Mulrane is the BRMS Educational Services Professional of the Year. Mrs. Mulrane currently serves as a teaching assistant in the LLD program at BRMS. She has been in her role for 18 years. As an instructional assistant working with students with some of the most complex needs, Mrs. Mulrane approaches each day- and each child- with patience, empathy, and respect. She understands that every student has unique needs, and she meets those needs with creativity, consistency, and an unshakeable belief in their potential. Although Mrs. Mulrane does not seek recognition for her tireless work, her colleagues note that she "is often the quiet force ensuring classrooms run smoothly and children receive the attention and support they deserve." Mrs. Mulrane's impact reaches far beyond the walls of her self-contained classroom; she transforms the lives of students, supports colleagues with grace and reliability, and elevates the entire school community through her quiet leadership and genuine care. These qualities make Mrs. Mulrane the ideal candidate to be recognized as the BRMS Educational Services Professional of the Year.
