Teamwork was showcased on stage at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.
On the evening of Friday, November 14, the community witnessed this unity while being entertained by Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School's production of the fall play, Rotten Apples.
The theme of the play, written by Tracy Wells, focused on:
“A group of villains is locked in a mansion on a dark and stormy night. But with so many villains trapped together, will anyone make it out alive?”
No villains from the Middle School cast or crew, just a group of students who worked together to present a wonderful performance.
They were guided by their passionate and dedicated leaders, Olivia Matko and Carla Fernandez, the Co-Advisors of the Middle School Drama Club.
“ The two in-school performances and the evening performance were all huge successes for the cast and crew of Rotten Apples.I am so proud of the dedication and hard work that they put into the last two months,” Ms. Matko said.
Ms. Fernandez was also proud of the performances both on and off stage.
“The cast and crew of Rotten Apples worked so hard and put their all into this year's performances,’ Ms. Fernandez stated. “The students had so many creative ideas and supported one another to make the show come together in a way that allowed everyone to shine. Due to all their hard work and effort, we had three amazing performances filled with laughter and joy.
Ms. Matko cherished the time spent as the director, leading the students throughout rehearsals.
“The end result was a show that had a little something for everyone,” Ms Matko said. “It was a pleasure to work with this group of students; they were incredibly supportive of one another and truly became a close-knit family.”
