Some of the finest young musicians in New Jersey performed at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School on Sunday, March 2.
The event was the Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Intermediate Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band Concert.
Bridgewater-Raritan students were joined by fellow students from numerous schools throughout New Jersey to perform as a group in the Middle School auditorium.
Dr. Ashlen Udell, who is an Instrumental Music Education Teacher and 7th Grade Band Director at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School, served as the conductor for the CJMEA Symphonic Band.
A guest conductor during this concert was Carol Brittin Chambers, who is a Composer/Arranger and Texas Lutheran University Intermediate Wind Ensemble Conductor. She conducted the CJMEA Wind Ensemble.
Dr. Udell, who also carries the titles of the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School and Montclair State University Intermediate Symphonic Band Conductor, was delighted over the performances.
“The concert was a true reflection of high-level musicianship and joy!” Dr. Udells said. “The middle school musicians represented themselves and their schools in a mature manner while delivering a musical experience that they remember for the rest of their lives!”
