A night to “showcase” the spectacular music program at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School was held on Thursday, January 9.
The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School Winter Music Concert was presented that evening to warm the hearts inside the crowded auditorium while a swirling wind provided frigid temperatures outside.
A total of seven musical groups performed under the guidance of their dedicated directors.
The 7th Grade Orchestra, under Director Tim Nuzzetti, launched the festive evening.
Next up was the 8th Grade Orchestra, which is directed by Caty Butler. Ms. Butler then guided the Chamber Orchestra.
The Jazz Ensemble then took center stage under the direction of Barron Caromano.
Then, the 7th Grade Band performed under the direction of Ashlen Udell, and the 8th Grade Band followed under the leadership of Mr. Caromano.
The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Ms. Udell, then capped the superb evening of music.
‘“This was a special night that showcased the Middle School Music Department,” Ms. Udell said.
Ms. Butler and Mr. Nuzzetti agreed that the students “showed how proud they were of themselves.”
“The kids have really worked hard,” Ms Butler added.
“The concert was a chance for the students, including the tabla players, to showcase their ability outside of school,” Ms. Udell concluded.
