The Italian Honor Society served as the host and served some really fine food, too, at its annual Italian Culture Night at Bridgewater-Raritan High School on Thursday, March 5.
This celebration was organized by the members of the Italian Honor Society, students, and faculty from the Italian department. The event welcomed a large and enthusiastic crowd of students, educators, parents, and grandparents, all gathered to enjoy an evening of rich cultural traditions and community engagement.
According to Fiorella Bologno and Giuseppina DiMartino, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Italian Teachers and the Advisors to the Italian Honor Society, guests enjoyed traditional Italian dishes, including pizza from De Lucia, pasta, and an assortment of authentic snacks and desserts from Randazzo’s Bakery and the wonderful families.
The advisors reported that the energy lifted as Ria Mukherji, Italian Honor Society members led all participants in the traditional Tarantella dance, inviting everyone to share in the joyous spirit of Italian folk culture, while other students sang and danced to the Sanremo 2026 winning song ‘E’ sempre si.’
“The Kahoot tested participants' knowledge of Italian culture, history, and general trivia, sparking lively competition and showcasing the students’ enthusiasm and dedication.”
They added:
“The Italian Culture Night was not only an evening of entertainment, but also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community and strengthen our connections with the parents.”
“We would like to extend our gratitude to all members of the Italian Honor Society, the supportive parents whose contributions made the evening possible, and the De Lucia and Randazzo’s Bakery. Their collective efforts ensured a memorable and enriching experience for all.”
