A wizard cast a magic spell on the students and staff at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
The wizard was actually Leon “Space Jam “ Sewell, who is a magical player on the legendary Harlem Wizards, an entertaining basketball team that tours the world.
He made his way to Bridgewater-Raritan High School on the morning of Tuesday, December 16, to promote an event that he will be joined by his Harlem Wizards teammates---a charity basketball game on Friday, January 9., 2026.
The game, which is sponsored by the Bridgewater-Raritan High School PTO, will be held in the high school’s Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium.
“Space Jam” Sewell appeared first at the main cafeteria on December 16, and then he strolled down to Vaughn Stapleton Gym, where games and competitions were held with students. He also gave away free tickets to the January 9 game.
“Kids loved it, teachers loved it, it was a great promotion, something that we would like to do more of in the future,” said Dan Hemberger, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Principal.
