There was a turkey who was wobbling around the campus at Bridgewater-Raritan High School on Wednesday, November 26.

While students and staff recognize him as "good old Tom Turkey," in reality, he is just good old Damian Storey, an Assistant Principal at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, who gladly accepted his wardrobe of a turkey on the eve of Thanksgiving Day

Assistant Principal Storey was the winner when Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Student Council sponsored a fundraiser called “Gobble Games.”

According to the Student Council Co-Advisors, Sarah Cleary and Michele Mammone, students could purchase a feather for the administrator they wanted to see wearing the suit or pay $2 to remove a feather and move it to another administrator.

The winnings went to the class whose administrator had the most feathers, the Class of 2027.

Once the feathers were counted, Assistant Principal Storey collected the most, seven. Ms. Cleary happily brought the turkey outfit to his office in the 1000 Building on Tuesday afternoon, so it was prepared for him to put on Wednesday morning when he arrived at school.

“It was fun to celebrate Thanksgiving, and the kids seemed to like it,” Assistant Principal Storey said.

He concluded:

“Gobble, gobble.”
