A career in law was the lesson plan on Monday, October 13, at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Attorney Todd Wachtel Esq from Levinson Axelrod, who specializes in Workers' Compensation cases, spoke to students who are interested in pursuing a career in law during the unit lunch period unch in the high school’s media center’s conference room.
Chris Levin, a Social Studies Teacher at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, explained how this informative session all came about.
“One of my former students, senior Giselle Saravia, reached out to me a few weeks ago because she wanted to have a lawyer come visit the high school to do a presentation for any students who are potentially interested in pursuing a career in law,” Mr. Levin revealed.
He continued with his report.
“She coordinated reaching out to the lawyer and scheduling him to come in today during unit lunch. The attorney who graciously volunteered his time to meet with the students was Todd Wachtel. We had a very nice turnout with over 30 students coming in to listen to the presentation, ask questions, and learn more about the law,” Mr. Levin said.
Levinson and Axelrod Attorneys at Law have 10 offices located throughout New Jersey, including in Raritan.
“We are hoping to make this a yearly event moving forward,” Mr. Levin said.
He added.
“Kudos to Giselle for setting this up!”
