Parents of juniors at Bridgewater-Raritan High School received an education on what may lie ahead.
Junior Parent Night was held on Wednesday evening, December 4, in Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s cafeteria.
The spearhead behind this very productive session was the dedicated Jessica Kaiser, the College and Career Counselor at the high school.
She explained this educational event.
There was a great turnout for Junior Parent Night!,” Ms. Kaiser said. “Parents were instructed on how to start the college search process, factors to consider and ultimately helping their child find a college that is a good "fit" for them.”
Ms. Kaiser reviewed how the counselors support students through this process and her role in this process. In addition, she revealed that the various parts of the application were reviewed and parents were informed on what to expect in the coming months.
“The presentation has been posted to the website and the event was recorded,” Ms Kaiser reported.
The parents were pleased with the information that they absorbed and a few were thrilled to give feedback.
One parent claimed:
“Thank you, Jessica! for the presentation last night, very helpful information. Even though I have gone through this process with my older one, but going for the second round a few years later is always a refresher and good to check in and see if anything has changed in a couple of years.
I greatly appreciate you and all the counselors for their help.”
Another happy parent said:
“I thought you did a great job with the presentation last night. Very comprehensive!”
Another adult had this share:
“The presentation last night was very helpful. I appreciate all of the work you put into it.”
