The Prowler, Bridgewater-Raritan High School's news site, is now more easily available for readers to keep updated on all of the events around campus.

An icon image of The Prowler logo is now located on the front page of the Bridgewater-Raritan High School website's main page.

Students, staff, and the entire community of Bridgewater-Raritan who visit the website can now scroll down to find a link for The Prowler.

Readers can click on and absorb news ranging from numerous events, such as concerts and plays, to sports and club activities.

Bruce Moran, who is the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Communications Specialist, serves as the Co-Advisor of The Prowler.

Mr. Moran was thrilled to explain the benefits of the new location of this emerging news site on the high school webpage.

“This placement on the cover of the high school website's main page will allow readers to easily locate our website rather than searching for it,” he said.

Instead of googling for the link and having to scroll to find it, visitors can click on it on the high school website.

The Prowler can also be found after clicking "menu" at the top of the high school website and scrolling to the "stay connected" section.

The Co-Editor-in-Chiefs of The Prowler, Isabel Lu and Paritosh Bhole, spoke about this crucial transition.

"I am excited for the Prowler to be on the website, and for more people to see the incredible work our staff is doing,” said Lu.

Bhole has high hopes for featuring the newspaper on the official website.

“This will really allow us to get into the spotlight more. We have a lot of great stories highlighting all aspects of our school community and I really think that the Prowler has a place as a part of the official high school platform," he said.

Through this new change, the club looks forward to seeing how they may grow in terms of viewership and members, always seeking new writers with a passion for journalism.

Victor Smoke, the Co-Advisor with Mr., Moran of the club, said “A lot of our decisions this year are to expand the reader base so that our student authors are writing with a purpose”.

The club hopes to give members of the community a chance to see what is happening within the high school, as well as provide writers with the opportunity to have their voices heard by a larger audience.

In just three years, The Prowler has seen a rapid growth in popularity. The club today boasts over 30 students compared to juts a handful of members entering the 2022-2023 school year.

Another sign of its thriving existence now was the installation of a Bridgewater-Raritan High School chapter of the Quill & Scroll, the International Honor Society for High School Journalists. The first members to be inducted were both Co-Editors, Isabel Lu and Paritosh Bhole, at a ceremony held on Monday, November 25, at the high school auditorium.

Also, last June, a special printed publication of The Prowler was distributed at graduation time to honor the Class of 2024. That tradition will continue this coming June during graduation.

The club is excited to see how this change can lead to further developments and encourages everyone to check out this new feature!
