The top one percent list of the highest scores achieved on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) features 13 seniors at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
These gifted students accomplished scores that are listed as the top one percent in the country for all scholastic seniors who participated in the PSAT.
According to the announcement from the National Merit Scholarship Program, the 13 Bridgewater-Raritan High School seniors are among 16,000 students who received status as semifinalists in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
The National Merit Scholarship Program reported that 95 percent of the semifinalists are expected to earn the elite Finalist level. And, the report also stated that half of the students in the Finalist level will win a National Merit Scholarship.
The students will be notified of their designation on the Finalist level in February of 2025. The students who claim National Merit Scholarships for 2025 will be announced in four nationwide news releases beginning in April of 2025 and then concluding in July of 2025.
