Mrs. Mahoney began working as an athletic trainer for RWJ Sports Physical Therapy & Performance Center in August of 2014. She comes to B-R after serving a year at JP Case Middle School.  Vanessa graduated from Kean University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a Concentration in Athletic Training. She completed her Master’s degree in Health Care Administration in 2004 from Wagner College. Before coming to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Vanessa was the Head Athletic Trainer at Brooklyn College. She also worked for an orthopedic surgeon and managed a physical therapy office. For over 10 seasons, Vanessa has worked with the New York Sharks, part of the women’s independent tackle football league.
