Van Holten School Back to School Night Grades K-2
Van Holten School

You are cordially invited to attend our annual Back-to-School Night program to be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. Please plan to be present at the following time(s):

Wednesday, October 2, 2019

6:00 PM

Ms. Kyritsis and Mrs. Danus, Intervention Specialists, will be available in room B-8

6:00 PM

Kindergarten parents in Mrs. Foley and Miss Camperchioli's classes only will visit their child's classroom.

6:30 PM

Kindergarten, first grade and second grade parents will report to the gymnasium for introductions and a brief presentation from Mr. Rauh.

7:00 PM

First grade and second grade parents will report to their classroom for teacher presentations. Mrs. Foley and Miss Camperchioli's parents will remain in the gymnasium for their classroom presentation.

Limited parking is available at the school. A police officer will be available to direct traffic and assist you with parking on the playground and field located adjacent to the cafeteria on the west side of the building. Please do not park on either side of the school driveway or along the curb directly in the front of the building.

Following the brief meeting and introduction of teachers and special area staff in the gymnasium, all parents, except for Kindergarten, will report to the classrooms. Once in the classrooms, Homeroom Parents will collect party money in the amount of $5.00 per child. In addition, PTO dues can be paid. Finally, parents will sign-up for the individual parent conferences scheduled for November 14th, 15th, 18th and 19th. Please remember that the purpose of our Back -To- School Night program is meeting your child's teacher and hearing about the grade level program. If you have other matters to discuss before November, please arrange an appointment rather than attempting to discuss the matter on Back-To-School Night. Please do not plan to bring your child, as the topics discussed are for the parents.

Parents are invited to visit our Book Fair until 8:30 PM in the multi-purpose room. Profits from the fair are used to benefit our library/media center program. Since this event is usually crowded, parents and children are also welcome to visit the Book Fair at other times during the school day. Please refer to the notices sent out by Mrs. Kipila. On Friday, October 4th the Book Fair will close at 10 AM.

We look forward to meeting you on October 2nd. If you have any questions, please call the main office at (908) 231-1220, extensions 200 or 201.

Sincerely,

George A. Rauh

Principal
